Nepal's Chitwan District Sees Rise in HIV Cases

Nepal's Chitwan district has reported 80 new HIV infections over the past nine months, according to recent data. The cases were identified through screenings of high-risk groups at Bharatpur Hospital. The AIDS Healthcare Foundation conducted the screenings, testing 223 individuals. A total of 91 patients have now begun antiretroviral treatment, including those newly diagnosed. This development highlights the need for continued awareness and prevention efforts in the region.
